Country Manager Romania Visa

Elena Ungureanu has over 25 years of experience in the field of electronic payments. Throughout her career, she actively participated in the key moments marking the evolution of the cards market in Romania, from the launch of the first bank card to the latest payment technologies.

Elena joined the Visa team in Romania in 2003 and is currently the Country Manager of the company. From this position, Elena is directly involved in the development and implementation of the company's business plans and market strategies locally, being also responsible of coordinating operational activities in the field of payment technologies, as well as the relationship with partner banks and local merchants. 

Elena is a graduate of the Faculty of Economic Cybernetics, Statistics and Informatics within the Bucharest University of Economic Studies.
