Georgiana Popescu

General Manager Colonnade Insurance Romania

Georgiana Popescu has over 25 years of experience in the insurance field and her areas of expertise include turnaround projects, business and product strategy, digitalization, underwriting and reinsurance. She is currently the General Manager of Colonnade Insurance Romania.

Georgiana has worked as a broker for Willis Towers Watson and for Generali Asigurari Romania in the insurance-reinsurance areas where she has had several managerial roles. Last managerial position in Generali was Head of Global Corporate and Commercial Romania Director for Corporate Risks and Reinsurance. Next chapter in her career was Chief Underwriting Officer, board member, at Asirom-VIG Romania.

Over the course of her career, she has been involved in several consultancy projects on digitalization, economic-mathematical models for non-life insurance market evolution, crisis management, and strategy.

Georgiana is passionate about people, strategy, new technology trends and supports non-profit organizations and causes.
