Richard McLaughlin-Duane is the Managing Director of Origination & Structuring at MetaWealth, leading the strategic expansion and innovation of MetaWealth’s European real estate portfolio by integrating advanced digital infrastructure and blockchain technology to enhance transparency, liquidity, and investor access. MetaWealth and InteRo Property Development manage investments and developments totaling €1.8 billion GDV, supported by over 1,400 investors across 28 countries. MetaWealth is entering its next growth phase: expanding from real estate into utility-scale BESS to deliver long-term, institutional-grade energy infrastructure value across Europe. 

Richard brings over a decade of real estate investment and development experience as Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Urban Boxes and London Partners, overseeing full-cycle development and the delivery of 700+ residential units across multiple markets. 

His earlier career as a commodity trader with leading global trading firms across London, Africa, and the Middle East shaped his approach to risk, negotiation, and emerging-market strategy. 

He is committed to creating long-term value at the intersection of real estate, technology, and capital markets, and actively advises founders and boards across both sectors.
